Most of the members of the United Nations are also members of the ILO. As has already been seen, Article 393 provides that the eight persons representing the Governments in the Governing Body of the International Labour Office shall be named by Members, as the English text reads, “of the chief industrial importance”, and, as the French text reads, dont l’importance industrielle est la plus considèrable.
